It’s 2013 and she’s crawling!!!

Hey guys! It’s been quite the adventure running after this little one. She’s crawling everywhere and using everything in sight to help herself stand up! I knew this time was coming..and now it’s here! I’m excited, but I’m also a little nervous! What if I take my eye off of her and she hurts herself in that one second that I’m not looking? What if she grabs something on top of a table that I forgot was there? Ugh! Time to baby proof my parents house. Right now we are using pillows to block her from getting into things, but she’s already outsmarted us and now we need to go buy those gates. Any recommendations on good gates?? We’re definitely going to get the stair one because my parents have a steep set of stairs in the house. I would love to get THIS one, but I don’t know if it’s any good. I have some money left on a gift card at Babies R Us so I might just look into buying one from there. We’ve reached EXCITING TIMES you guys!

Quality Family Time!

My family got together a little late this year (the Saturday after Christmas) so the excitement kind of died down early and then picked back up again for a day.

Christmas highlights!

Man, I’ve been really late on posting lately. Sorry! I haven’t had the motivation nor the inspiration to post about anything. It might be because all I’ve been wanting to do lately is enjoy quality family time. It was our first Christmas with a child and oh my, how much more fun it is with kids! I remember enjoying it as a kid.. The opening of presents, the feasting on delicious food and desserts, the staying up until midnight, the Christmas music.. The whole bit. But I can honestly say that the past few Christmases were just kind of blah and I never got excited about it. However this year, it was a whole lot more exciting with our little bundle of joy experiencing it all for the very first time. She LOVED opening the presents! Or I should say.. The WRAPPING paper!

Oh yah! Grandma and grandpa bought her a big girl carseat so I’m really excited about that!! Ha.. The things I get excited for nowadays!

8 months old today!

My baby girl is 8 months today!!! I can’t even handle it. We had such an amazing first Christmas and she enjoyed unwrapping all her new toys and clothes. Thank you to everyone for all the many gifts!!

So at 8 months, here’s what she can do:
1. Crawl
2. Eat yogurt and oatmeal
3. Grab things
4. Can stand on her own while holding something
5. Can keep her balance for about 5 seconds
6. “Close. Open” – the Filipino thing where they close and open their hands
7. Babble/sing when you sing
8. Spit out her food
9. Loves bath time
10. Scream/laugh when you tickle her

5 Little Things…

Dang, I’ve been so terrible at posting these past couple weeks. I don’t know what it is.. Sorry guys! So, there’s been so many things I have been up to lately! The biggest thing being I started working out! Woohoo! My husband, sister-in-law and I all started a kickboxing class and its super hardcore!! It pretty much kicked my butt yesterday and I could hardly go up the stairs today and then.. What do I do?!?.. Go back again for day 2. I know I’m probably going to regret it when I wake up tomorrow and can’t move! Ha!
Well, here’s 5 things that have made me smile as of late:
1) She’s a crawlin’!!!

It’s about to be getting really crazy where I can’t take my eyes off her. I sort of can’t wait, but I’m good for now. Stop growing so fast!

7 months old!

So, I’m 4 days late to post this.. Woops!
My baby is already 7 months! I cannot even believe it. I’m preparing to cry already for when she turns 1! Lol.

Anyhow, at 7 months she can…

Eat solid foods! (Mostly mashed up and puréed things)…
Has a favorite food! (Bananas)…
Can stand up (with guidance)…
Smiles and laughs out loud…
Can wave her hands…(although I don’t think she knows she is actually waving)
Eat rice…
Walk… (If you hold her hands)
