The Color Run

A couple weekends ago we finally got to participate in the happiest 5K around, The Color Run. I cannot even tell you how fun it was.. Yes, who knew running could be fun?!? (Just kidding Tina.) I think the pictures will speak for themselves!

It was probably one of the most messy things I’ve ever done. But, getting dirty and not caring was the best part! Happy Tuesday ya’ll! Oh! And thanks Meagan for these awesome pics!

Zip lining in Mexico!

Probably one of the most exhilarating and scariest things I’ve ever done was go zip lining. A couple weekends ago the hubs and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary with a carnival cruise trip to Ensenada, Mexico. We hadn’t been on a cruise together so we thought it would be a fun experience… And it sure was! It was also our first weekend away without the baby so it was kind of a big deal for us!

On top of all the eating, drinking, activities, and then more eating the cruise ship stopped at Ensenada on Saturday. My mom had advised us that if we were going to do any adventuring while in Mexico to not sign up with the cruise line because we would save $. So, being the crazy risk takers that we were, we found this man on the side of the road and offered him $60 to take us to this camp on this brochure called “Las Canadas” and to La Bufadora to witness the famous blow hole. He was nice and went for it.

So.. Off to the biggest thrill of our lives! It was totally not what I expected it would be.

What I thought was just going to be a one time soar through the air ended up being an intense 2hr obstacle course with 5 zip lines and 5 suspended bridges! I felt like I was on an episode of Ninja Warrior or something. But by the time we realized what we were about to do, there was no turning back!

It was a beautiful place nonetheless and definitely an experience of a lifetime!

PLACES: Pieology

Pieology, the “Chipotle of Pizza,” is this cool place in Fullerton, CA that I have to say is a fun place for a date night.

You basically can create your own pizza with whatever toppings you want…all for $7.95 or choose one of their own creations.

Check out the pizza I swallowed while I was there!

PLACES: Pawn Stars Pawn Shop

First of all, have you guys ever seen this show?

Photo taken from this blog

Today I…wanted to share with you all a cool little field trip we took to the Pawn Shop on “Pawn Stars” on our recent trip to LV. It was seriously a fun little adventure we had and it almost felt like walking into a real episode of the show (except for all the tourists who were there). :)

Look at some of the cool stuff we found:

As you can see, it was a fun time of discovery!

P.S. My sister beat me to the punch with this post. See her post about it here!

PLACES: Vegas Baby!

Today I..am on the road to the infamous city of SIN along with the hubs, sister, and sister’s bf.  My crazy husband decided last minute to not stick with the original plan (quiet, steak dinner at our apt) and be spontaneous (once again). If I seem a little resentful, it’s only because it makes me feel better about the whole idea. Not that I’m against Vegas or anything, but I question how much fun I will have and how successful this trip will be this time around. Last New Year’s (or maybe it was the year before), we spent New Year’s in Vegas and fell asleep at 10pm in the hotel room and woke up to the fireworks outside of the window. What a story, right?!? Haha. We laugh about it now hoping this time around will be more successful. Nonetheless, we are SO grateful for my sister and her boyfriend for inviting us along for this adventure. After all, this might be the last, spontaneous adventure for awhile..which makes this trip a little more bittersweet. Well, hope you all have a fantastic New Year!!! Be safe. Don’t drink and drive. :)

P.S. I hope you enjoy my little Microsoft Word images I made real quick on my Dad’s comp. It’s somewhat vintage inspired, haha. Bye!
