New iPhone case!

Today I..wanted to share with you some sexy photos of my new phone cover!

First, the back story: My husband purchased this case for my birthday about 3 weeks ago and it barely came today in the mail. It was all I wanted for my birthday. I even picked it out specifically and sent him the link..all he had to do was press “Add to Cart” and “Submit.” Lol. Well…something happened and he didn’t confirm his email address during purchasing so it was never shipped. For the past 3 weeks, every time someone knocked on the door my heart would literally skip a beat from excitement that maybe..just maybe..my phone case had arrived! But, no…the packages were never for me. I don’t know why I was even getting so excited over a phone case. So strange! I even actually told my husband that I started to feel a little sad because he never physically gave me anything for my birthday, which I couldn’t help but feel! So pathetic! Anyway…it finally came today..and my, oh my..it is SO SEXY!

Wait…before you look… we must cue the sexy saxophone player so he can play for us in the background. Ha!

Here are some things to leave you with before we part…

Really glad I found this Target guide!

Want to do this DIY some day…

I have an old IKEA table that I’ve been wanting to do something with. This seems like the winner!

REFLECTION WEDNESDAY

Things that impacted me this week:

1) A fun-filled weekend and our first Rocky Horror Picture Show experience

So, I guess we’re not Rocky Horror virgins anymore. Boy, was that the most INTERESTING experience of my life! It was a whole bunch of crazy, oddly intense and sexual, and anti-normal in every way that I cannot even begin to express it in the appropriate words. Definitely an experience of a lifetime! I know Eddie and our friend, Ryan, had a blast. The soundtrack was definitely “a future download” kind of soundtrack. The best part had to be the mess we made and we didn’t have to clean it up!

2) The cuteness of this little girl

source

Okay, I really try to avoid saying this, but I’m going to have to… O. M. G! This girl is just so darn cute and her eyes make me melt. And look at her little leg warmers! She reminds me of my little niece, Anamaria. Can’t wait to see her in a couple of weeks!

My niece, Anamaria

Things that distracted me this week:

3) Blogging…

 source

I have a love/hate relationship with my blog. Sometimes I feel very encouraged. Other times, I think, “Why do I spend so much time on this?” It’s definitely a distraction whether I like it to be or not. Let’s be real.

4)  Finding the right pair of glasses

It’s that time again where I need to buy new glasses. I think it’s been about 3 years so I’m due for a new pair. I can’t seem to pinpoint which frames to buy though…any suggestions?

 From Warby Parker

From Zenni Optical

From Urban Outfitters

Anyway..can’t seem to decide on the frames. Might just go into Kaiser tomorrow and pick out the cheapest one. I’m on a budget! Happy Wednesday ya’ll!

TodayI…Planned for Father’s Day!

My Dad is really into Poker so I’m thinking of these: (maybe you guys can help me decide!)

Poker Sunglasses (with Hologram) $10.99

$2.99

Poker Hat $9.88

Maybe these will inspire him to dress up more:(YA RIGHT!)

Cufflinks $16.59

Casino Tie $84.00

Stainless Steel Money Clip $34.00

This book $18.45: (recommended by this Poker pro)

Besides getting him Poker things, I really want to make these for him:

This hand print frame:

 This Martha Stewart Craft Idea:

For my Father-in-law…here’s what I’m thinking:

 Handmade T-Shirt & Apron!

Williams-Sonoma Ultimate Grill Cleaning Set $29.95

All this cookware & such: See Delishhh blog for prices.

A little background:

To be honest, the one thing I love about my dad is the fact that if you asked him what he wanted for Father’s Day, he would probably say “none of these things” because they are just things. He’d probably be more happy with all of us siblings at home eating a home-cooked meal, or eating at one of our favorite restaurants, or just hosting a good ol’ poker game. That’s how simple of a guy he is. I’m not going to lie, I’ve been a Daddy’s girl since I was born…my Dad didn’t even want me to move out of his house when I got married! That’s how crazy he is. But, even to this day, he still takes care of me in his own way.

Sometimes he’ll send me my mail, or text me important reminders, or just call and ask me “How I’m doing” or “How’s Eddie treating you?” He makes me laugh. The biggest thing I admire though is how generous and giving of a person he is. He always is the first person I call when I’m in trouble. He’s the first to give you his time when you need help with something. And, he doesn’t give you half of his effort…he doesn’t believe in that. He always gives his 100% because that’s all he knows how to give. There’s no gift that could thank him appropriately for all he has done for me..which is why I hate when these sort of holidays come around and I’m completely stuck. Anyway, thanks for listening to me ramble.

P.S. He’s also a Vietnamese gangster! He knows how to fight for what he wants…not physically, Pssh..he couldn’t harm a fly. But he’s good at blackmailing people! haha. Only kidding. :)

I love you Dad! I wonder if he will read this…

Okay, I don’t know if you’re like me, but I love going to this store and not buying anything! Ha. It’s a little over my budget, but I do admire the artistry and craftiness put into their window displays. It is truly inspiring!

One of the great things I love about blogging, is that many of the inspiration blogs give you free printable resources that are awesome! I’m all about FREE!

As I’m thinking of what to do for my mom on Mother’s Day (I’m a little bit of a procrastinator), I found some creative DIY projects/gifts that anyone can be inspired by! Hope this helps!

Idea #1: Make her breakfast in bed.

Decorate the food with these incredibly easy DIY tags.

Idea #2: Make her a cute card.

Use scrap paper, stickers, anything you have lying around. She’ll appreciate anything.

Idea #3: Make her this awesome birthday list.

I know my mom would benefit from this because we have so many birthdays to remember in our family.

You can cut felt for the letters in “FAMILY” and just punch holes in the circles cut-outs.
