TodayI…Visited the Redondo Beach Pier

Driving along Catalina Ave.

During the weekend, my husband and I took a day trip to Redondo Pier.  We really haven’t taken advantage of living close to the beach as much as we could…so whenever we are actually at our apartment and not in the hills we try to go. I’m definitely excited to be near the beach in the summertime.

The weather was perfect! Not too hot, occasional breezes, and no more fish smell from the recent fish fiasco. Yuk!

Even the fishermen were out!

The actual pier was built in 1889. In 1995, they recreated it and it is shaped kind of like a horseshoe.

A lot of people were out biking around…and enjoying the outside California air.

hammer anyone?

If you are planning to stop by the pier, I recommend you eat at this place. It’s called Pacific Fish Center and Restaurant. It’s a little pricey, but it is.. SOO good! You can check their yelp reviews here.

We ordered the Korean Spicy Soup and the Seafood Platter.

Korean Spicy Soup (Large feeds 3-4 people)

Seafood Platter (comes with scallops, shrimp, oyster, and fish)
